In the spirit of Afrikan Tradition, The Drum Call program encourages participation from all ages including Adults and Elders.  Instructors have found that young participants are less inhibited and learn faster when counselors and older family members participate with them.

The after school classes tend to attract more primary and middle school youths aged 9 to 13 on a consistent basis.  The ethnic breakdown depends on the community mix. However, Afrikan-Americans and Hispanics constitute the majority of the participants that The Drum Call program has serviced over the past five years.
