The
Drum Call program gave a great example of how two
distinct art forms, dance and drumming, can
collaborate. The workshop showed how these art forms
could develop and enhance our overall social, cultural
communication and exchange of creative ideas. The
participants expressed excitement and commented on the
experience as instructive and enjoyable.

The Drum
Call is extremely popular and demand for the program
has grown among our residents from one community
center to another. This program reaches both
children and adults and conveys sense of heritage.
We look forward to a continued relationship of many
enrichment experiences for the children and adults
at our various sites.

I would like
to thank you for bringing your Drum Call program to Camp
AmeriKids 1999. We are still hearing unprecedented
praise for your program from our campers, volunteers,
and staff. Your energy and dedication helped to make
the fifth year anniversary of Camp AmeriKids our most
successful summer ever…The joy and sense of true
accomplishment on the faces of the children while they
played upon your hand crafted drums is a sight that will
remain emblazoned on my mind. I am very proud to
include you in the Camp AmeriKids family, and I look
forward to working with you in the future!
