OBey Foundation is raising
funds to help children
In June 2004 OBey
Foundation identified 180 school children in the small coastal
community called Brenu Akyinim Village in Ghana, West Africa.
Located in the Central Region of Ghana, most of the community's
inhabitants rely on fishing and cultivation of coconuts,
pineapples and groundnuts for their survival. Many of the
children are orphans and forced to work the farm and assist in
the market while other children are receiving their education.
At the basic education level, youth are not only challenged with
the need for school supplies, uniforms, lodging, and meals, but
tuition at the Senior Secondary School level is much higher.
